Sam Tordoff and Michael Meadows were the victors at rounds seven and eight of the Porsche Carrer Cup GB Championship last weekend.

At Oulton Park in Cheshire the 450hp flat-six Porsche 911 GT3 Cup race cars took the circuit, come rain and shine, for an exciting race.

Leeds driver Tordoff was the star in round seven, driving a faultless race to take his first ever win in the championship, having started the race in pole position.

Meadows and Jonas Gelzinis battled hard throughout the race, wuth Victor Jimenez taking victory in Pro-Am1 and Will Goff winning Pro-Am2.

Tordoff was under constant pressure during the race but never put a wheel wrong, controlling from the front and not getting nervous about the battle behind him.

“That was fantastic,” he said. “I got a great start and Michael never really got close enough to mount a serious challenge. I had that bit of a cushion, but it was pressure all the way.”

Meadows eventually came home in second, with Gelzinis less than half a second behind as the flag fell.

“We were all quick in different places,”Meadows explained. “Unless I got past Sam in the first two laps I was never going to overtake him. Off the racing line, the track was very dirty.”

In round eight Meadows took his fifth victory in eight races in what was an incident-packed race.

Two separate incidents of coolant being dropped on the track meant for challenging conditions. Gelzinis finished second with Tordoff on the podium again in third. In Pro-Am1 Oly Mortimer won, and Goff completed a double Pro-Am2 victory.

The next rounds take place at the Croft circuit in North Yorkshire on June 23^rd and 24^th, and all the drivers will be battling it out once again to come home first and taste victory.
